SUMMARY Repair electrical and mechanical equipment such as industrial controls, and any electronic instrumentation used by Royal Building Products.
Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment.
Ability to fabricate - set up -layout & weld.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: Trained and knowledgeable in the areas of Lock-Out Tag-Out and Arc Flash Safety NFPA 70E.
Test and troubleshoot faulty equipment and operation of mechanical and electrical systems to diagnose cause of malfunction.
Able to interpret electrical schematics.
Test electronic components and circuits to locate defects.
Replace defective components and wiring and adjust mechanical parts.
Align, adjust and calibrate equipment according to specifications, calibrate testing instruments.
Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
Good understanding of PLC’s, PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
Repair and calibrate electrical heat controls.
Maintain AC and DC equipment: motors, drives, controls, etc.
Assist in evaluation of new electrical equipment as requested.
Tools: Be able to read and understand volt OHM meter, amp meter.
Work off elevated platforms.
Ability to fabrication - set up -layout & weld.
Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Repair, maintain and refurbish existing plant equipment.
Ability to competently troubleshoot mechanical and electrical devices.
Installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
Comply with established safety rules.
Comply with company policy and procedures.
Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers.

Education/Knowledge Associates degree in electrical/electronic technology, and three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Communication Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
